Damian is one of the stars of Mojito!. Sadly, when I went to visit him in 2006, I learned he had died of an infection received from an arthoscopic treatment on his back. I miss him every time I think of Cuban music.

Orlando "Puntilla" Rios (1943 to 2008)

I met Puntilla in the airport in Frankfurt the year before he died, en route back to New York. A nice guy and another enormous talent lost.
